“America First” is not a slogan; it is a way of governing that allows us to ensure freedom, prosperity and peace through strength. We must be the leader that is respected throughout the world by acknowledging that we respect our citizens and their freedom, our country’s needs and the value system upon which it was founded that has made America Great.
Our foreign policies should account for the fact that: we value democracy over tyranny; we value human life and rights; we will defend our allies as if we were at risk; we value partnerships and alliances, but expect them to be fair and equitable and we will combat terrorism at every turn and take proactive measures to eradicate the threat.
We are the United States of America. We will return America to the greatness which the generations before us provided through their hard work, spirit and defending our nation – and in some instances died for – to give us the freedom which we have today. We owe it to them and to our children and future generations to act now and put America First.
